So I was thinking about the Republican model of Capitalism. In their world we defund groups like the EPA so that business can work unhindered. This would allow business to work faster, cheaper, and more efficiently. Industry would be self-regulating since if they were doing something their customers didn’t like, their customers wouldn’t buy their product. Without the EPA nuclear plants could find the best places to store spent nuclear fuel without burdensome regulation. The general public wouldn’t have to worry about this, since if they put it too close to someone’s house the media would alert the nation that the nuclear company in question was being naughty. The company would be forced to move their dump, and pay the mutant human millions of dollars in pain and suffering. No EPA necessary. The system has worked properly. This is the way it should be. As long as all companies are dumping things as toxic as nuclear waste. And you’re not the mutant in question.
