Whoa, what a Biblically futuristic image that is.  Wasn’t it Samson who killed like a hundred men with the jawbone of an ass?

And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.  Judges 15:16

I hear that’s going to be Mel Gibson’s next movie. Probably starring governor Schwarzenegger. Or maybe Bush, as he’s already slain well over a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass.

This Weekend

Sorry about the two weeks off. Didn’t see anything. This weekend:

10/1 - Death of a Cat
10/2 - Maufras and Frietag Take the Case

FRONTERAFEST

**UPDATE: Baka Gaijin was selected as one of the best pieces of the week and will have an encore performance Saturday, January 15th at 8pm

**Loaded Gun Theory will be performing E.D. Harrelson’s Baka Gaijin **at FronteraFest 2005.**We perform this Friday, January 14th at 8pm and are second. You can make reservations at 479-PLAY, make them early, FronteraFest tends to sell out.
It’s a comedy of what happens when two friends (stupid tourists) venture into Old World Asia (middle of nowhere) through the sunny (hot), tropical (rainy) jungle (snake-infested trees) on a quest for the finest (sub-standard) local cuisine (woof!). The only question… do you still leave a tip if the waiter commits seppuku? Featuring Travis Holmes, Julie Winston-Thomas and Tiffany Taylor, and directed by Timothy Thomas. Originally appeared as a Staged Reading at Spawn Of Slapdash in July 2004. Come out and see it as a fully realized scene!

What I\'m seeing this weekend.

I’m going to try to start writing down what theater I’m seeing so other people can show up if they want and know they have someone to sit with. Also so that I can encourage others to see more theater.

Friday 9/10 - [Bell, Book and Candle](http://www.onstagetheatreco.org/) at the [Dougherty Arts Center](http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/dougherty/)
Saturday 9/11 - Ham at [Hyde Park Theater](http://www.hydeparktheatre.org/)

Copyright Denied - Loaded Gun Theory’s new play by Timothy Thomas takes place in our future, just after corporations finally succeed in owning everything. Hillary finishes each novel only to find that her stories have been written, sold, and brought to market by someone else. When the Copyright Police confiscate her latest manuscript, Hillary discovers that her political thriller may be more fact than fiction. But will her heroine follow the plotted course, or deviate for that killer ending Hillary truly wants? Have the encounters with corporate drones, crazy reporters and political conspiracies finally pushed Hillary to the brink of insanity, or is she the only one who can see the truth?

Mark your calendar for [Copyright Denied](/node-pages/lgt/shows/copyright-denied/) September 17th - 19th and 23rd - 26th. Sunday shows are at 2pm, all other shows are at 8pm. Tickets are 10 dollars. [Reservations](http://www.loadedguntheory.com/reservations/) are being accepted.
